Course Title Japan's Activities and Technologies Aiming for a Carbon Neutral Society

Objective
Persons in charge of technology development and planning departments aiming for a low-carbon society will understand the current state and future image of Japan's energy mix, and learn about Japan's efforts and technologies for realizing carbon neutrality.
In addition, through mutual discussion, we aim to understand the future role and direction of the oil industry based on each country's carbon neutral strategy.
Main Topics
1. Lecture:
・Global energy situation and carbon-neutral initiatives
・Overview of the oil industry in Japan 
   ~Japan’s energy mix and renewable energy~
・Hydrogen utilization technology, Ammonia utilization technology
・Carbon neutral and the role of the oil industry (discussion)

2. On-site Visit:
・Transportation, unloading and storage technology for liquid hydrogen
・Hydrogen and ammonia utilization technology
・Case of Local government: 
    Practical use of local production for local consumption 
    by complex renewable energy (wind power, hydropower, solar power, 
    biomass power generation)
・Advanced technology development of renewable energy
   by national research institutes
Qualification
Managerial position or equivalent qualification who engage in work related to low-carbon technology in technology development or planning department.
