Objective
In this course, participants will learn about the importance of aligning business strategy and human resource management based on the concept of Human Capital Management (HCM). They will also learn from Japan’s organizational culture, employment practices, and innovation initiatives, comparing them with their own countries to gain insights for improving human resource management and organizational effectiveness. The program aims to enhance participants’ management skills and provide knowledge of human capital strategies and systems—including the identification, evaluation, and placement of talent—to maximize employees’ strengths and growth potential and support business strategy.

・ Overview of human capital management (HCM)
・ Alignment between business strategy and HCM 
・ Human Resources utilizing assessments 
・ Strategic HCM practices in international companies
・ Case Sharing of HCM in Japanese companies
・ Sharing of initiatives in HCM across countries
・ The relationship between ESG management and HCM
・ Managerial skills enhancement exercises (team building, coaching, evaluation skills)

2. Site Visit:
・ Manufacturing industry: Human capital initiatives supporting sustainable growth, and human capital management in response to business transformation

Middle-management position in HR-related departments with a university degree or equivalent qualifications.
