Objective
To deepen the understanding of participants about the fundamentals of project management in the oil and gas upstream sector and the current business progress of Japanese companies, through site visits and discussions among lecturers and participants.

1. Lecture:
- Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK®) Fundamentals
 (by preliminary e-learning)
- The Petroleum Industry in Japan (by preliminary e-learning)
- Team Building and Stakeholder Engagement
- Project Trends of Japanese Upstream Companies
- Project Management for Oil and Gas Upstream
- Project Development Planning
- EPC Scheduling for Upstream Projects

2. Site Visits:
- Oil and Gas Upstream Company: Gas production and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project. (Learning how project resilience is managed under harsh environments.)
- Geothermal Power Plant of a Petroleum Company: Sustainable energy implementation and geothermal power generation activities. (Understanding upstream expertise leveraged for new energy projects.)
- Renewable Energy Hub by a Local Government (LNG, solar power generation, onshore/offshore wind power generation): Local government and companies’ cooperation for Carbon Neutrality (Examining complex stakeholder alignment for diverse energy portfolios.)

3. Workshop
- Group Discussion on Project Management Challenges (for each participant)
Qualification
In charge of oil and gas upstream who have at least 3 years of management experience, or those with equivalent qualifications.
