Course Title Project Management in Oil and Gas Upstream

Objective
To deepen the understanding of participants about the project management in oil and gas upstream and business progress in Japanese companies through site visits and discussions among the participants, including the lecturers.
Main Topics
1. Lecture:
- Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK®) fundamentals
- The petroleum industry in Japan
- Project management for oil and gas upstream
- Project trends of Japanese upstream companies (incl. CCS and clean energy)

2. Site Visit:
- Oil and gas upstream company
- Geothermal development company
- Renewable energy hub

3. Workshop
- Team building and discussion (challenges in project management for each participant)
- Project management exercises for facilities in the development and production phase
Qualification
In charge of oil and gas upstream who have at least 3 years of management experience, or those with equivalent qualifications.
