Course Title QHSE Management

Objective
This course is designed for the engineers who have been engaged in the management of quality, safety/health, and the environment (QHSE) fields in organizations belonging to the downstream petroleum industry. The objective is to develop the participants’ ability as leaders of QHSE management through comprehensive activities and management tasks. 
Main Topics
1. Lecture:
・Overview of the Japanese oil industry
・QHSE-related laws and regulations in Japan
・Confirmation and group discussion of the tasks of participants
・QHSE management system in Japan (various tasks and examples)

2. Site Visit:
・Petroleum storage bases (disaster prevention organizations and activities)
・Petroleum refinery (environmental management and facilities) 
・Engineering company (safety analysis of plant and feedback to design)
・Professional consultants (risk assessment, safety monitoring systems, etc.)
Qualification
Engineers who have graduated from a chemical or mechanical faculty and have experience in managing QHSE fields at petroleum-related plants (petroleum terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants, etc.) with 5–15 years of experience for participants from GCC countries, and 8–18 years for participants from other countries.
