Course Title Maintenance Management & Turnaround Maintenance for Aged Plants

Objective
For promising engineers in the oil and/or gas producing countries, this program will provide opportunities to promote understanding of maintenance management such as preventive maintenance, daily maintenance and turnaround maintenance, and to learn about methods for estimating the reliability of facilities.
Main Topics
It is essential for maintenance engineers to have “maintenance management skills” that secure the soundness of refinery facilities from a long-term perspective. Participants will learn about maintenance management practices that have helped Japanese refineries for over a half century, and will become able to apply the structured knowledge they acquire in this course to their own maintenance jobs. 

1. Maintenance management, maintenance activities and reliability management 
    in the refinery (TPM)
2. Turnaround maintenance as a project (PMBOK®)
3. Maintenance and repairing technology
4. Case study and discussion
5. Visits to:
    ・A refinery 
    ・A boiler and turbine manufacturer
    ・A pipe and tube manufacturer
    ・An engineering company
    ・A plant maintenance company
    ・A pressure vessel maker
Qualification
Managers and engineers in refinery maintenance department (excluding the fields of electricity / instrumentation) with a university degree, or those with equivalent qualifications
