Objective | For technology leaders to deepen their understanding of project management from the owner’s perspective and their company’s strategy through discussions among the training participants, including lecturers. Additionally, they aim to deepen their knowledge by discussing new energy technologies, which are covered as topics, with representatives from related companies |
Main Topics | 1. Lecture: ● Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK®) fundamentals (by preliminary e-learning, under Project Management Association of Japan supervision) ● The petroleum industry in Japan (by preliminary e-learning, JCCP) ● Project management from the perspective of an oil refining company, which is the project owner. a) Key points of each phase—initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and project closing phases—and the startup operation after the project b) Strategy of technology, capital investment, EPC contract, etc. ● Project cost & risk management ● Construction project simulation, gamification ● Team building & stakeholder engagement 2. Workshop (Group Discussions): ● Challenges of project management in each participant 3. Site Visit: ● Refinery and chemical plants: a) Japanese petroleum companies’ endeavor into renewable energy ● Engineering companies: a) Utilizing renewable energy and its cutting-edge technologies ● Ironworks and manufacturer of high-pressure vessel & pipe: a) Recent technologies for high-pressure high temperature vessel & extra-low-temperature hydrogen tanks b) Duplex stainless-steel pipe ● CCS plants: a) Overview of CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) Projects b) Monitoring status of underground stored CO2 c) Plant site visit |
