Objective
Maintaining aged plants is an important issue for refineries. For maintenance engineers (managers, etc.) of static equipment, this course proposes to deepen their understanding of the latest technology, management methods, appropriate inspection methods for static equipment (excluding electricity, instrumentation, and rotary machinery engineers), and maintenance at oil refining facilities. 
Main Topics
1. Lecture
・Non-destructive inspection (fundamental and latest)
・Life-cycle engineering, plant life-cycle assessment, and extension planning.
・Safety control (safety culture, philosophy of safeguarding, safety design, etc.)
・Turnaround maintenance and daily maintenance
・Digital maintenance system (latest maintenance support systems / communication systems, AR, etc.)
・Material selection for Stainless Steels, CS. 
・Materials and anticorrosion technologies for static equipment 
・Risk-based maintenance management (RBM, RCM, etc.), Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM), TPM, etc.
・Human resource development for engineers
・Project Management
2. Site Visit: 
・	Steel and pressure vessel manufacturer : Maintenance technology for plant life-cycle extension, non-destructive inspection.
・	Steel manufacturer : Latest anticorrosion technologies
・	EPC company: Latest design and technology for plant life-cycle extension
・Maintenance Contractor Company : Human Resource Development
・	Engineering company: Corrosion cases and countermeasures
Qualification
Mechanical/maintenance managers or engineers with at least 5 years of experience in static equipment (excluding electricity, instrumentation, and rotary machinery) maintenance with a university degree, or those with equivalent qualifications
