Objective | The aim of this course is to improve their skills in technical requirements that affect reliability, design concepts, and manufacturing processes for rotating machines, and abnormality diagnosis and evaluation techniques, in order to improve the reliability of rotating machines. |

Lecture: ・Overview of the Japanese oil industry ・Technologies and strategies of Japanese oil companies regarding reliability of rotating machinery ・Condition monitoring theory for rotating machinery 2. Site Visit: ・Condition monitoring system development company (Demonstration of condition monitoring system for rotating machinery) ・Steam turbine and pump manufacturer (Technical requirements for pumps and steam turbines) ・Gas turbine manufacturer (Gas turbine power generation technology for next-generation advanced combined cycle) ・Bearing manufacturer (Bearing selection criteria and maintenance methods) ・Mechanical seal manufacturer (Reliability factors of pump seals and couplings) ・Maintenance service contractor (Refinery inspection and maintenance contractor) ・Oil refining company (On-site inspection, information exchange with refinery maintenance engineers) 3. Qualification | An engineer who has graduated from an engineering university (preferably in the field of mechanical engineering) and has at least five years of practical experience in specification selection, operation management, maintenance, etc. of rotating equipment at petroleum-related plants (refineries, petrochemical plants, etc.). Also, those who are able to conduct daily conversations and presentations in English. |
