Course Title APC and Other Process Control Technologies

Objective
Intended for persons who have mastered DCS-related engineering to some extent, this course examines theory and applied technology comprehensively, from basic process control (e.g. PID control) to the latest APC skills, and broadens knowledge through practical training using a simulator to improve skills related to control technology.

・Overview of Japanese petroleum industry
・Basic control theory (feedback control, PID control, model predictive control)
・Basic process control practice using a DCS simulator connected to a miniature plant (PID parameter tuning, advanced control)
・Practice of model predictive control simulator
・Cybersecurity
・Safety instrument system
・Operation support system

Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least five years’ experience in process control, plant operation, or DCS, or those with equivalent qualifications.
