Course Title Current Situation and Future Perspectives of Natural Gas & LNG Technology

Objective
To provide participants in charge of natural gas & LNG an opportunity to acquire information and knowledge of processing technologies in the refining, liquefaction, transportation, storage, and utilization stages, through lectures and observations at heavy industries and an LNG terminal.
Main Topics
Participants will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the demand and supply situation, process engineering, storage & transportation technologies for natural gas & LNG, and new technologies in natural gas application so they can apply the result of training to their respective organization in their countries.

1. Energy mix and natural gas utilization in Japan
2. Natural gas & LNG market of the world, including unconventional gas
3. Natural gas development, 
4. Natural gas purification & liquification, and LNG storage & transportation 
    technologies
5. Natural gas as a new energy source
6. Presentation and discussion:
   ・Natural gas & LNG utilization and issues in your country 
   ・Technical issue(s) to solve in your workplace
   ・Knowledge you expect to acquire in this course.
7. Visits to: 
   ・Manufacturer of gas turbines for electricity generation
   ・Manufacturer of heat exchangers & LNG vaporizers 
   ・Steel pipe manufacturing & pipeline laying company
   ・LNG terminal of a city gas & electricity company 
      (to observe the handling of ultra-low temperature liquid)
Qualification
Engineers with a university degree or higher, and at least three years of experience in work related to the field of natural gas or LNG, or those who have equivalent qualifications
