Objective | To provide knowledge of training theories and effective training management methods widely adopted by Japanese industries and To improve the capability of each participant on HRD |
Main Topics | Participants will acquire comprehensive knowledge of HRD in Japan through an understanding of Japanese-style HRM, and improve their capability for practical planning and performance of HRD in a workshop. 1. History of Japan and the Japanese mentality as the basis of Japanese-style HRM & HRD 2. Introduction of Japanese-style HRM and career development/design in Japan 3. Recent changes in HRM in response to social changes in Japan and the globalization of business 4. HRD today in Japan 5. Introduction of a training model and case study on HRD, and a team management seminar (as part of leadership training; workshop style) 6. Visits to: An oil company An engineering company Refineries A university and other institutions |
Qualification | Training managers or equivalent-level staff with at least several years’ experience in in-house training and education, or those with an equivalent career |
