To provide participants with knowledge of material selection, welding problems, material deterioration and their countermeasures for static equipment

Practical information on material problems and their countermeasures, based on rich experiences in Japan, will be introduced.

   1. Fundamentals of welding and material selection
   2. Reliability evaluation of pressure vessels
   3. Trouble experiences with static refinery static equipment
   4. Practical repair techniques in refineries
   5. Case studies and discussion
   6. Visit to:
       ・ a refinery
       ・ an EPC company
       ・ a welding rod manufacturer
       ・ a vessel manufacturer
       ・ a plant contractor
       ・ technical center of a vessel manufacturer

Mechanical engineers (excluding those in electricity / instrumentation / rotary machinery) involved in static equipment maintenance with at least five years’ experience after graduation from university, or others with equivalent qualifications
