Main Topics | Participants will receive practical training to understand the latest control systems, instruments and software by utilizing simulators at JCCP. 1. Fundamental process control theories and practice ・ Computer-aided instruction Process characteristics and PID control ・ DCS-controlled miniature plant Controllability of three operation modes 2. Advanced process control theories and practice using a miniature plant with DCS ・ Model Predictive Control (MPC) ・ Operation Support System (OSS) ・ Soft-sensor technology 3. Outline of safety instrumented system and engineering practice using a miniature plant with DCS ・ Safety Instrumented System (SIS) 4. Visits to: ・ Refineries ・ DCS manufacture |
Qualification | Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in process control, plant operation or DCS, or those with equivalent qualifications |
