| Objective | To provide participants with a wide range of knowledge and practical skills, such as conventional control theory, PID tuning and APC development skills, and recent control technology | 
| Main Topics | Participants will receive practical training of APC by utilizing simulators at JCCP.
    1.Fundamental process control theories and practice
        ・Process characteristics
        ・PID controller
        ・Tuning practice using a miniature plant with DCS
    2.Advanced process control theories and practice using a miniature plant with DCS
    (1) Model Predictive Control (MPC)
    (2) Operation Support System (OSS)
    3.Shutdown sequence system theories and practice using a miniature plant with DCS
    (1) Safety Instrument System (SIS)
    (2) Control strategy and controller drawing on DCS
    4.Visits to:
        ・A DCS company
        ・Refineries | 
| Qualification | Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in process control, plant operation or DCS, or those with equivalent qualifications |
