Outline of JCCP Regular Course TR-3-12

To provide participants with a wide range of knowledge regarding the fundamentals and applications of DCS

Participants will acquire knowledge in a wide range of topics, from DCS fundamentals to related technologies, including the latest technologies such as the field bus technology.

    1.DCS fundamentals
        ･Outline of DCS
        ･DCS maintenance
        ･Basic process control theory using CAI
        ･DCS engineering practice

    2.DCS applications and related technology
        ･Introduction of new generation DCS
        ･Introduction of an operation support system
        ･Introduction of alarm management
        ･Introduction of field bus technology
        ･Modernization of conventional control systems to DCS

    3.Visits to:
        ･A refinery
        ･DCS manufacturers

Engineers with at least three years’ experience in DCS-related work, process operations and/or control, or those with equivalent qualifications
